| | | Welcome Message | | | | | | Welcome To Chivalry!
Whether you are a friend or guildee, we hope you will enjoy your time here learning about who we are and what we're about.
Chivalry's Library is a place where you can find everything there is to know about our guild!
Applicants, before you finish any application - know that reading the documents describing our guild is a requirement. If you can't take a few moments to read through the Guild Info in our library, we are probably not the place for you.
Guildees: Please log-in at the top of the page to gain access to Guild-Only resources, including our private forums, more extensive Library access, and private messaging.
Chivalry began as a safe haven for casual players who wanted to step back from competitive play and enjoy the experience of questing with friends in an easy-going environment. Since that time, Chivalry has flourished, accomplishing our mission to provide a family-friendly community where people can pursue their interests in a casual environment! We don't require weekly activity or demand you to play a certain way, but we do expect those who join to be a part of the community.
What we do is provide you with the structure to help you accomplish your goals - whether they be Raiding, Heroics, PVP in BGs and Arenas, World PvP, or leveling up as many alts as you can. While many of us may have limited play-time, we also want to make the most of the time we have. As you will find in our library, we have guidelines to help ensure that people will be as successful as possible!
Our forums are the hub of our guild, we share funny stories, plan in-game groups and events, and inform you of the newest `news' immediately. While we have two GMs that do have final say in guild policy and such matters, Chivalry's leadership seeks to be transparent in our decisions, and solicits feedback in our Announcements section whenever possible.
Although
we do not require members to be helpful, we have worked hard to
cultivate an atmosphere that balances give and take. When it is not
possible to help the person who helped you, pass it on to another
guildee in need! This attitude has kept us going for a long time, and
has contributed to our slow, steady growth and solid friendships. We truly strive for a culture of Courtesy, Bravery, and Honor.
A
note of caution: If you are the type of person who wants all the gold
you can get no matter who you take it from, wants all the gear they
can, takes help from others but never returns the favor, then this
guild is not for you.
Still interested in joining our guild? Please read our Chivalry Application Instructions
very carefully. If you don't follow instructions, we may miss partial
applications. If you haven't heard any response from an officer, please
check that page to see if you missed a step.
Despite our own active player base, we are very thankful for two other guilds and their GMs who have played a role in helping us get to where we are today:
Zelec, GM of Virtue et Armis
Nereeza, GM of Shadow of the Phoenix Larek, GM of The Emerald Dragons

Northrend... meet Chivalry! Well this last week has been an exciting adventure for many of us in Chivalry. Many old friends have returned to the game, and it's been interesting to hear everyone's adventures as they explore Northrend and see all there is to see. A few housekeeping items: - We have done a final tweak of our in-game bank. All members should have read the rules and /sign on the forum post before using it. Lillee and I do not like 'policing', so we required 25 non-officer signatures before the bank would be available again. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to hop on and do so!
- Not everyone was able to make the guild meeting, so there are notes in the Announcements forums if you are interested in what we discussed.
Chivalry has had a few surprising firsts over the past several weeks! For the first time, we've had our prime play times with up to 34 guildees on at once. You can help keep Chivalry a welcoming, friendly environment by... - Being willing to ask when you need help, or would enjoy playing in a group within a zone, quest area or instance;
- Being willing to help others in-guild!
Our forums have been somewhat riotous in activity lately, so guildees - make sure to stop in for some great advice, tips, and hints that will help you Northrend. Someone has even already begun a 'hidden quests' section on our General forums. And a big congrats to Truefist, our resident Web-master, who - at my last count - had already hit 78! ~Kaelara
Hey folks, if you are interested in Kara - make sure to sign up on Friday. It's possible we'll have enough sign-ups for two groups, so make sure to visit the calendar!
Thanks to everyone who attended last night's guild meeting, we discussed a few ways we were adjusting for WotLK, including assessments of how we have been raiding and any adjustments we should make before we get distracted by levelling. Everyone shared some great input!
As we prepare for WotLK, make sure to keep in touch with your guildees - perhaps try and help some folks on their paths to 70 before the expansions gets out so we can focus on all levelling together and enjoying the experience!
We recently expanded our advice sections so each Class had it's own forum. Your participation in the various forums are encouraged, as is your insight on how the changes in the next big patch will affect your class.
Good luck, and happy questing!
~Kaelara
Have any in-game goals that you would like to share (for the guild or personal)? Be sure to check the sumer goals thread and see others' goals. http://chivalry.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=226723&TabID=1910207&ForumID=1066420&TopicID=7144135 -Sherb
Hey folks, this is just a head's up that our Guild Meeting has been moved to this Friday. (Friday the 13th, ooOOOoooOO ;) )
At any rate, it'll be a short meeting from 9 PM - 9:20 PM, ending in time so we do not distract people from Kara. ;)
Hope to see you there!
