Welcome Message

Please Note: It is not sufficient to select "Join Chivalry" at the top of the page if you wish to apply. You must also go to our forums. Go to the "Guild Application" section on our forums (see the links above) and complete the second part of your application there.

Welcome To Chivalry!

Whether you are a friend or guildee, we hope you will enjoy your time here learning about who we are and what we're about.

Chivalry's Library is a place where you can find everything there is to know about our guild!

Applicants, before you finish any application - know that reading the documents describing our guild is a requirement. If you can't take a few moments to read through the Guild Info in our library, we are probably not the place for you.

Guildees: Please log-in at the top of the page to gain access to Guild-Only resources, including our private forums, more extensive Library access, and private messaging.

Chivalry began as a safe haven for casual players who wanted to step back from competitive play and enjoy the experience of questing with friends in an easy-going environment. Since that time, Chivalry has flourished, accomplishing our mission to provide a family-friendly community where people can pursue their interests in a casual environment! We don't require weekly activity or demand you to play a certain way, but we do expect those who join to be a part of the community.

What we do is provide you with the structure to help you accomplish your goals - whether they be Raiding, Heroics, PVP in BGs and Arenas, World PvP, or leveling up as many alts as you can. While many of us may have limited play-time, we also want to make the most of the time we have. As you will find in our library, we have guidelines to help ensure that people will be as successful as possible!

Our forums are the hub of our guild, we share funny stories, plan in-game groups and events, and inform you of the newest `news' immediately. While we have two GMs that do have final say in guild policy and such matters, Chivalry's leadership seeks to be transparent in our decisions, and solicits feedback in our Announcements section whenever possible.

Although we do not require members to be helpful, we have worked hard to cultivate an atmosphere that balances give and take. When it is not possible to help the person who helped you, pass it on to another guildee in need! This attitude has kept us going for a long time, and has contributed to our slow, steady growth and solid friendships. We truly strive for a culture of Courtesy, Bravery, and Honor.

A note of caution: If you are the type of person who wants all the gold you can get no matter who you take it from, wants all the gear they can, takes help from others but never returns the favor, then this guild is not for you.

Still interested in joining our guild? Please read our Chivalry Application Instructions very carefully. If you don't follow instructions, we may miss partial applications. If you haven't heard any response from an officer, please check that page to see if you missed a step.

Despite our own active player base, we are very thankful for two other guilds and their GMs who have played a role in helping us get to where we are today:

Zelec, GM of Virtue et Armis
Nereeza, GM of Shadow of the Phoenix
Larek, GM of The Emerald Dragons

Nereerza from Shadow of the Phoenix has invited us (along with our friends from Virture Et Armis) to join them for an evening of jousting, prizes and fun at the Argent Jousting Meet!  It starts tonight at 9pm server time at the Argent Tournament Grounds (Argent Valiant's Ring to the NW).

We will be competing on our jousting mounts with winners annouced for each of 3 rounds:

Round 1:

Everyone competes on valiant mounts!

1st: 300g
2nd: 200g
3rd: 100g

Round 2:

The champions amongst us duel it out.. same rules, but faster mounts.

1st: 300g
2nd: 200g
3rd: 100g

Round 3:

For everyone: Same as Round 1...but once you are dismounted, you fight to the death gladiator style!

1st: 500g
2nd: 400g
3rd: 300g

If you plan on competing, make sure you have done the first few argent tournament quests so that you will be able to ride a valiant mount.

Just dropping in...
Razorstar - Just dropped by the forum to say HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.

Returning to Chivalry:
Herrium (we're glad to have you back, even if you are a warrior...and human :P)
Alumindor

Great to have you back guys!!

Going on hiatus:
Soulstabber - Between work hours, traveling and an unreliable internet connection, he has decided to take a bit of a break.  He'll be back online again once he gets some breathing room.

Gorine - He is taking a short break from WoW to devote a little more time to his "rock-n-roll" lifestyle.  He is planning to be back in early fall.

Ereidivh - Is letting his subcription lapse at the end of the month.  He hopes to be back soon, but will certainly keep us updated via the forums.  In the meantime, he's headed to DC with his family once school is out - fun!

Quiddle - Real life and other interests are rearing their heads and he is taking a break from the game.  He has promised to come by the forums from time to time for a chat or two.

Aijalon - Between a lost authenticator and family stuff, he hasn't been on much lately.  We all hope he is up and running soon!

Sojan - Won't be on much during May due to work issues.

Please remember that if you plan to be gone for a while, let us know via the Away Notices in the forums.

Going:
Kahuna/Kaigan - Left Chivalry earlier this month to find a home that is a little more east coast in nature.  Feel free to hit him up if you need a tank for anything.  We wish you well Kahuna!

Havache - Leaving WoW due to family & real life issues.  He has enjoyed being part of the guild and would certainly return to us if he comes back to the game.  Good luck Havache....we wish you well.
Patch 3.1.2 Goes Live Today!
Click to view this person's blogClick to send a private message.misspengy, 5/19/2009 3:31 PM.

Patch 3.1.2 goes live today.  Included among the changes is the highly anticipated Equipment Manager.  If you would like to use this function, you must enable it in your interface options.

Another change of interest is that a player can no longer become saved to an instance when they aren't in the instance during a boss kill.  This should be good news to anyone who likes to pug as it ensures they aren't saved until they have actually helped take down a boss themselves.

Please note that they are having issues with the Battle.net accounts.  Most Battle.net accounts are unable to log into the game.  Blizzard is aware of the problem and is continuing to work on the problem.

UPDATE:  As of 5pm Pacific, it looks like problems logging on are still plaguing the world of Azeroth.  Right now it appears that those with authenticators are having trouble logging on.  *Sigh*...I guess I'll be watching the Americal Idol finals tonight live after all.
Chivalry in Ulduar...
Click to view this person's blogClick to send a private message.misspengy, 5/15/2009 7:31 PM.

This past Tuesday, 10 of Chivalry's brave members headed back into Ulduar and downed 4 bosses: Flame Levathian, XT-002 Deconstructor, Razorscale and Kologarn.  Congrats to everyone who went on the run!

If you are interested in doing Ulduar, but are not sure you are geared, please check with one of our raid officers, Edorian or Varisa.  We are also continuing to run Naxx every other week, so don't feel like you are being left behind.  It's lots of fun and there are cookies for all!!  (Okay, maybe not cookies, but someone usually brings fishsticks & tater tots.)
